General Tso Green Beans and Tofu

Green Beans and Tofu

1 Package extra firm tofu

1 Package green beans

3 Tbsp. Sunflower oil

1 Tbsp. Sesame seeds (optional)

Tofu: Wrap the tofu in paper towels or a reusable towel and place it between two plates. Place a heavy cookbook on top to squeeze the juice out. Press the liquid out of the tofu for at least 8 hours. Cut the tofu into cubes. Heat up 2 Tbsp. of sunflower oil in a frying pan. Pan fry the tofu for 15 minutes. Make sure all sides of the tofu are golden brown and crispy by stirring it frequently. Place the tofu in a separate bowl after it has been cooked. Make the General Tso sauce while the tofu is cooking.

Green Beans: Trim and wash the green beans. Heat 1 Tbsp. of sunflower oil in the same frying pan. Pan fry the green beans for 8 minutes.
